This course trains drivers and transportation team leaders to operate armoured and soft-skin vehicles as part of a coordinated secure movement, not as isolated skill demonstrations. Participants work through vehicle selection against a defined ballistic and blast threat level, pre-drive inspection routines, and the handling characteristics that change once a vehicle carries armour weight and run-flat tyres. The course builds motorcade formation, spacing and communication between lead, principal and follow vehicles, and covers route survey techniques including choke point identification, alternate route planning and the anti-surveillance detection route. Contact drills address the decision to break contact, ram or evacuate the vehicle, tied to a documented protective intelligence picture rather than instinct.
