This course teaches mobile journalism for fast-turnaround field reporting from equipment selection through to filed publication. Participants build a lightweight kit suited to variable field conditions, configure manual camera and audio settings, and practise composing and stabilising shots that edit into a coherent sequence without a tripod or gimbal rig. Sessions on audio cover positioning external microphones against wind and crowd noise and capturing ambient sound that supports editing decisions made later. The course then moves into editing directly on a mobile device: logging footage quickly, structuring a short report with a clear opening and closing, and filing in the format a newsroom's ingest system requires across broadcast, web and social platforms.
